The Mini Vine is a welcoming, vibrant and creative space for all our visitors and our aim is to inspire and motivate everyone we meet, as well as showcase some of our city’s best culture and heritage activities, events and days out.

Inside, you can talk to City College Peterborough advisors about a range of courses for 16–19-year-olds and adult education, full time, part time and online.

And you can find out about and book tickets for cultural and heritage events in Peterborough through our displays and information points, ranging from the Key Theatre to Flag Fen Archaeology Park to Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery.

There’s also a pop-up library offer book borrowing and activities in a comfortable seating area where you can lounge, browse and read.

The Mini Vine also boasts a video wall where you can join us for regular screenings of local history, films and documentaries.

A second opening phase in December 2021 will provide even more free activities, workshops and events to access.

In the meantime, there’s a variety of activities and services being introduced each day (see timetable), but every day you can:

  • Take part in a school uniform exchange.

  • Sign up to the Summer Reading challenge, browse books and join in children’s Storytime and Rhymetime.

  • Receive advice and information about next steps after GCSEs and A-levels.

  • Sign-up to leisure-learning courses.

  • Book onto activities and events as part of City Culture Peterborough’s Family Festival of Summer Fun.

  • Browse the work of local artists.

  • Secure tickets for the latest shows at the Key Theatre.

  • Get free career advice and guidance including information for unemployment and redundancy.

Once the space is fully open at the end of 2021, The Mini Vine can be used for exhibitions and demonstrations that can be used to showcase cultures from all communities.

City College Peterborough

Providing outstanding Adult & Further Education, City College Peterborough offers a range of courses for 16-19 year olds and adult education, full time, part time and online.

Drop in to discover what courses are on offer for the 2021/2022 season. We will have advisors on hand to help and to sign you up!

School Uniform Exchange

Parents have the opportunity to take part in a school uniform exchange thanks to an initiative launched by City College Peterborough at The Mini Vine as part of its commitment to improving environmental impact within its own organisation and the communities it serves.

Learners from the college's Day Opportunities centres wash the uniforms with eco-friendly products and make any required repairs to items such as replacing missing buttons or sewing any loose stitching.

We are not currently taking additional uniform donations, as we have plenty of items in stock for families to collect free of charge from The Mini Vine.

Collect school uniforms from The Mini Vine, 62 Bridge Street, Peterborough PE1 1DT.
